2025 is shaping up to be a big year for Crank-Ins and sock schools around the country. If new Tru-Knit owners want to receive help or a quick lesson from me, in person, I am always happy to help.
PIGS (People in Glorious Socks) in Ankeny, IOWA February 6-March 1, 2025 This is a social gathering for me, but as always, I am happy to help out and give small lessons. I don’t sit with you and hold your hand for the entire crank-in because I have other customers I need to help as well. But I can get you going if you need it. Jeff, my wonderful husband will be at this crank-in with me as well as Sue Vunesky who are also happy to help the new kids! I will be demonstrating HOW TO RIB on Friday morning for all attendees. Sunflower Crank-In in Fredonia Kansas March 19-22, 2025. This is another social crank-in, but I am inviting all new Tru-Knit owners to come where I will sit with you and hold your hand for lessons. I have no scheduled demonstrations for this crank-in, but I am ready and willing to do demos on demand. TENTATIVE Midwest Fiber Festival April 25-27 This is a fiber festival dedicated to all fiber arts. If accepted, we will be demoing the Tru-Knit all weekend. It’s fabulous fun to be in the midst of all these fiber activities and we will be there (if accepted) showing off the Tru-Knit and what it can do!
Central Pennsylvania Fiber Festival May 17-18, 2025 This is the first time I will attend this fiber festival where the crankers have a little crank-in. I am very excited to get to spend some time with these friends
Conneticut Crank-In June 11-14, 2025 Just outside of Hartford Conneticut. This is a really fun crank-in for me. This year, I will be doing demonstrations (these are still to be decided) and then helping people do what I’ve just demoed. It is more casual than sock school but still challenging! COWS, Crankers of Wonderful Socks July 9-12, 2025 Monticello Illinois. This is another social event for me and my gang of friends who are all ready and willing to help new crankers. Yarnbyrds August (1st weekend) This is sock school and this year, the classes will be more advanced. For sock school, you need to know and understand that this is school. You pay a lot of money to attend these classes and I want you to get more than your monies worth! This year we will be concentrating on Ribbing and Mitts, though the class curriculum is not final but it will require you to already know how to use your sock machine because we are going to take it to the NEXT LEVEL! go to Yarnbyrds.com for more information. as of 2/12 the classes are not listed on their site yet as we have to finalize details of dates and times.
DZ Crank-In September 8-13, 2025 Wisconsin There will be a mini sock school at this crank in. Look for it on Facebook

Show Me Your Socks November 19-23, 2025 Monticello, Illinois This is the one that my friends and I host. It’s like friendsgiving holiday kick off celebration make socks and stuff for several days and go home exhausted just in time to shop and prepare Thanksgiving for 20 people. Yes, it’s worth it.
